friday funtime. :) admin first. we really like hillary and tim here. all are welcome to participate, the more the merrier, but please leave the pie at the door.
struggling with writers block again this morning. every day, i get more and more excited. every day, i see the shining star of social justice getting brighter at the end of the tunnel. the things we are accomplishing today are things i could only dream of 30 years ago. there are still many battles to be fought, and we will lose some along the way. but we have come so far, and this year has truly empowered so many women to add their voices to ours. i can now see a future of equality. it isn’t happening tomorrow, it has taken us over 200 years just to get to this point. but the scales of power have been tipped. we truly are approaching the end of the beginning. the tsarina and i discussed this at great length last night, so many things have happened that neither of could have even hoped for when we were younger.
my father said to me a very long time ago, “son, the democrats will never win again until they aren’t seen as the party of the blacks”. but we have proven him WRONG WRONG WRONG. because we were not the “party of the blacks”, but we were (and remain) the “party of equality”.
this election, the american people are going to stand up for what is RIGHT. it is the essence of hillary’s message. do the right thing. yeah, it isn’t a real exciting slogan, but the results of doing the right thing sure are exciting. imagine an america where ALL of the citizens are full participants. imagine what we can do as a country.
i am so proud to support hillary for potus. so damn proud. and i am humbled that i am just one of so many.
take us home, rep. cleaver.
pop open a cold one, pour it in a 100% shattered glass, kick back and HAVE FUN! be proud and stand tall, and savor what we have done and what we KNOW we can do.
