Received this e-mail from John Gregg’s (D. IN) gubernatorial campaign:
Carrier and United Technologies Electronic Controls received $530,000 in state tax credits and incentives from Governor Pence -- and then moved 2,100 Hoosier jobs to Mexico.
That's not right.
Companies that make big promises in exchange for taxpayer money shouldn't be allowed to take the money and run when they break their promises.
We need to hold them accountable. Will you sign my petition to Carrier and UTEC, and demand they give our money back?
Last year, their parent company, United Technologies, recorded more than $7.2 billion in profits. Apparently, that isn’t enough.
They are dumping their Hoosier workforce, which makes roughly $20 an hour on average, to go to Mexico where they will pay workers just $3 an hour.
This is a disgusting display of greed -- and Hoosiers shouldn’t be forced to pay for it.
Will you help build public pressure on Carrier and United Technologies Electronic Controls to return the state incentives they received from Indiana taxpayers?
Sign the petition today to tell Carrier and UTEC: "We want our money back!"
Thanks for helping me hold them accountable,
John Gregg
