Hillary Clinton has gained tremendous momentum since her big victory in the Nevada caucus last weekend. She is now projected to cruise to victory tomorrow in the South Carolina primary and on Tuesday when 11 states will be holding their elections. Not only is Hillary crushing Sanders in all of the so called SEC states, but she is also ahead in Massachusetts, a state that Sanders had hoped to do well in.
Also disturbing to the Sanders Campaign is the latest Quinnipiac University poll which shows Clinton with a huge 26+ lead over Sanders in the big primary state of Florida, which holds its election on March 15. In that poll Women back Clinton 69 – 24 percent, while men go 47 percent for Sanders and 43 percent for Clinton.
Likely Democratic primary voters 18 to 44 years old back Sanders 51 – 39 percent, while voters 45 to 64 years old back Clinton 64 – 28 percent and voters over 65 years old back her 73 – 21 percent.
Unless the Sanders campaign can find a way to stall her momentum in the next two weeks, he will be unable to turn the tide in this election.
