So this is a spinoff on the “Bernie made me white” meme that was so popular this weekend.

It seems like the falsehood that Hillary is only winning the south is still a primary talking points used by Senator Sanders’ supporters. So I decided to compare that urban legend to actual facts.
Here are the results now from swing states so far (Ranked by size of EV):
en.wikipedia.org/...
-
Florida (29 Electoral Votes) Hillary +33%
-
Ohio (18 Electoral Votes) Hillary +14%
-
North Carolina (15 Electoral Votes) Hillary +14%
-
Virginia (13 Electoral Votes) Hillary +29%
-
Missouri (10 Electoral Votes) Hillary +0.2%
-
Colorado (9 electoral Votes) Bernie +19%***
-
Nevada (6 Electoral Votes) Hillary +5%
-
Iowa (6 Electoral Votes) Hillary +0.3
-
New Hampshire (4 Electoral Votes) Bernie +22%
As you can see, contrary to the urban legends, Hillary is pretty much sweeping the battleground states primaries except for the least important of them all electorally speaking: NH and its 4 EV.
*** CO was a caucus contest which it won’t be in the fall. To show you how unrepresentative it is: 120,000 came out to vote. AZ has a similar population, yet, 400,000 came out to vote.
But even including CO, it’s still Hillary 6 to Bernie 2.
And have a decent idea of how the 2 swing states left will vote:
-
NM is a closed primary & See how Latinos voted in 2 neighboring primary states TX & AZ.
-
PA is closed primary, diverse state, 2nd oldest state to FL
