Jerry Brown endorses Hillary Clinton.
On Tuesday, June 7, I have decided to cast my vote for Hillary Clinton because I believe this is the only path forward to win the presidency and stop the dangerous candidacy of Donald Trump.
Two primaries coming up this week. The Virgin Islands on the 4th, with 7 delegates and Puerto Rico on the 5th with 60 delegates. Hillary Clinton needs only 71more delegates to clinch the nomination. Puerto Rico should cut the delegates needed in half.
From 538.com
...the Virgin Islands on June 4 with seven elected delegates and Puerto Rico on June 5 with 60 elected delegates. No polling has been conducted in the Virgin Islands, but 76 percent of the population identified as black in the 2010 Census, and Clinton has dominated with black voters. (Obama, who was supported by a vast majority of black voters eight years ago, carried the Virgin Islands with 90 percent of the vote in 2008.) Still, let’s be cautious and award Clinton four of the seven delegates at stake.
We also don’t have any traditional2 polling from Puerto Rico, but there are good reasons to think Clinton will win there fairly easily. She won it by 37 percentage points in 2008,
After Puerto Rico, Hillary Clinton will need approximately 35-38 delegates, to clinch the Democratic Nomination (this is including the super-delegates).
Hillary is poised to win New Jersey by approximately 28 points, according to Benchmarks. The New Jersey primary will more than like be called for Hillary, before California finishes voting. New Jersey, will put Hillary over the amount needed (super-delegates included) to clinch the nomination.
From Benchmarks
Here is the current New Jersey Projection - Clinton 64% - Sanders 36%.
Stanford University’s Bill Lane Center for the American West, finds Clinton holding a 13-point lead over U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (51 percent to 38 percent).
From Benchmarks
New California county level projections, same state level result: Clinton 56% - Sanders 44%.
The California primary has 475 delegates. Clinton is leading in a poll released today from Hoover Institution Golden State poll by 13 points (The poll was conducted — May 4 through May 16) yes it’s old, I know, but I like it :) . California, will put the nail in the coffin, for the Sanders campaign, again. After Tuesday there will only be 46 pledged delegates up for grabs.
