Representatives of the group include Gwen Carr, mother of Eric Garner (shot in Staten Island, N.Y.); Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin (Sanford, Fla.); Maria Hamilton, mother of Dontré Hamilton (Milwaukee); Lucia McBath, mother of Jordan Davis (Jacksonville, Fla.); Lezley McSpadden, mother of Michael Brown (Ferguson, Mo.); Cleopatra Pendleton-Cowley, mother of Hadiya Pendleton (Chicago); and Geneva Reed-Veal, mother of Sandra Bland, found hanging in a Texas cell.
Wednesday night, President Obama and Vice President Biden are to speak.
Thursday night, the convention is to close with speeches from Chelsea Clinton and her mother, Hillary, the presumed nominee.
