I can’t remember the last time so many maddening, vindicating, and downright depressing events have happened in a four-day period. It’s almost too trite to say that I can’t imagine the pain the families of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and the slain Dallas police officers are feeling. IMO, Hillary Clinton struck just the right tone yesterday in her speech in Philadelphia, and I can’t think of anyone better at addressing the issue (other than President Obama, perhaps).
Meanwhile, we’re still four long months away from the election. If the numbers hold, Hillary Clinton will win in a landslide and possibly get both Democratic House and Senate (oh please! oh please! oh please!). Of course we know it won’t be that easy, what with the media almost willfully determined to act like they don’t understand the email issue and that Hillary Clinton is guilty! even when she’s just been declared the opposite.
Yet all of the ghost-written tweets in the world may not be enough to save the Trump campaign. With even Bernie Sanders poised to finally back Hillary Clinton, the Democrats will be in a strong position heading into the convention and beyond.
