Notable Women Democratic candidates for VA State House November 7, 2017 elections:
Danica Roem HD13
Danica wants to focus on transportation, jobs, and schools. She advocates for inclusive social policies and believes this will bring more businesses to her district. If she wins the primary, she will be running against long-time Delegate Bob Marshall who is infamously known for bills like this session’s Personal Privacy Act (HB1612), a similar bill to North Carolina's controversial "Bathroom Bill." Some might consider it sweet justice if Marshall lost his seat to the first transgender person in the Virginia General Assembly.

Cheryl Turpin HD85
A long-time high school science teacher, Cheryl cares about the environment, education, and human rights. She is running in a flippable district; Hillary Clinton lost by less than 1%. During Cheryl’s recent run in the January 10th special election — she outperformed her opponent in funding, losing by only 362 votes with just a few weeks to campaign. People seem to react to Cheryl and pull for her. At one point during the brief campaign, she had 178 people across the nation phone banking — succeeding in making 6,000 calls in one day!
