Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Jon Tester’s (D. MT) re-election campaign:

I’m a father and a grandfather. I know how important it is to make sure your children have the best possible education. It’s the foundation of their lives, the thing that makes everything else possible.
I’m a former teacher and school board member. I know what it’s like to want to provide the best education to your students.
I’m a Montanan. My wife Sharla and I both went to Montana public schools. My grandkids go to Montana public schools. My daughter is a Montana public school teacher. We all know how important it is that our schools have the resources and support to provide a safe and enriching learning environment for our children.
I am also Montana’s Senator. I voted against Betsy DeVos to head the Department of Education because of her history of prioritizing private institutions over public education. And now that she’s in that office, we need to work harder than ever to hold her accountable.
Let Secretary DeVos know that whatever moves she makes, we’ll be there to hold her accountable. Stand up for our children. Add your name.
Jon
