According to the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), God is in the house! The White House! Top officials in our government attend Bible studies every week with Mr. Drollinger.
Ralph Drollinger of Capitol Ministries told CBN News, "These are godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture."
They're all handpicked by President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
Drollinger loves to flatter these non-vain men by comparing them to famous Bible action heroes.
In Pence, Drollinger sees many similarities to biblical figures like Joseph, Mordecai and Daniel – all men who rose to the number two position in governments at different times in history.
"Mike Pence has respect for the office. He dresses right - like it says Joseph cleaned himself up before he went to stand before the Pharaoh," Drollinger told CBN News.
If what you got out of the story of Joseph’s rise in Ancient Egyptian society was that he dressed for success, boy are you going to be blown away when you hear what happened to the Israelites after that! Turns out, it has nothing to do with how you dress! Where have I heard of Drollinger and his Capital Ministries before?
That teacher, Pastor Ralph Drollinger, is well known to some members in the California congressional delegation. He is the evangelical spiritual leader who once counseled a group of Sacramento lawmakers that female politicians with young children have no business serving in the Legislature. In fact, he called them sinners.
[...]
“It is one thing for a mother to work out of her home while her children are in school,” wrote Drollinger, a Californian who created a group called Capitol Ministries to teach evangelical interpretations of the Bible to politicians. “It is quite another matter to have children in the home and live away in Sacramento for four days a week. Whereas the former could be in keeping with the spirit of Proverbs 31, the latter is sinful.”
That’s so true. Women are sinners. They’re so annoying! I wish God would just smite them all and we could go on praising God in small meetings with just men, holding hands, naked like Adam before Eve ruined everything! The Washington Post reminds us of the last time we had Bible studies going on in the White House.
This is not the first time Bible study classes have been held in the White House. In the administration of former president George W. Bush, some White House staff members held weekly prayer and Bible study sessions, and during that administration, John Ashcroft held daily Bible studies at the Justice Department when he was attorney general.
How did that turn out? Two wars and hundreds of thousands dead and our economy on the edge of collapse because of avarice and pride? Is there anything to learn here? Probably not.
