Finally, someone has put up a TV ad all about the importance of down-ballot races and especially the importance of voting for State Representative. After searching high and low for it, I finally found it buried in the “active online videos” section of the FloridaStrong FB page (apparently this part of the new reporting added after the Russia/Cambridge Analytica scandal). The “like” and “share” areas are grayed, though, and at the end the video is overlaid with a message to vote for the Democratic candidate for Florida Senate in my district (because our state representative is a Democrat who didn’t draw a challenge this year—yay!)
Anywhere, here’s a link to the page, hope it works:

In case you don’t get the video for whatever reason, here’s how it goes:
Young, dark-haired woman in her kitchen drinks from a glass of water and says
”Ugh! What’s wrong with this water?!”
Man in sportcoat and tie, with smarmy look on his face appears and answers:
”It’s filled with chemicals and irritants!”
woman: “Who are you?”
man: “Hi, I’m Steve, your State Representative, and I’m responsible for things that affect your everyday life, like your drinking water.”
woman: ”Well, you’re doing a bad job—I’m gonna vote you out!”
man: ”No you won’t! Most people don’t vote beyond the top of the ticket. I got elected with, like, 30 votes. So we can be corrupt with zero repercussions! Isn’t that what America’s all about,..Maria?
woman: ”My name’s Karen.”
man: “Doesn’t matter. You’re not gonna vote.”
Voiceover: “Vote for your state representative—so you don’t get Steve.”
BTW, “Steve” looks awfully familiar..like maybe one of the folks who show up on Comedy Central shows or commercials or something—anyway, he’s great, the other actor is great, perfect script, this is clearly a very professional production and I hope this ad is being seen all over the country.
Anyone out there who hasn’t voted yet (like if you’re in a state without early voting or no-excuse mail ballots), Vote! And for goodness sake, don’t forget to vote Dem all the way down! Having a Democratic state representative is great—even better when everyone does!
