Received this e-mail today from the Council for a Livable World:
It can be hard to keep up with the latest polls and even candidates running for Congress in 2018. That’s why we’re here to offer our seal of approval on candidates’ progressive national security backgrounds.
Will you help us send our vetted and endorsed candidates to the House? They have a great shot at winning, but could use your help!
Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-06), an engineer, is a former Air Force Captain who spent three years on active duty and another 13 years on inactive reserve duty. She understands that war should always be a last resort. She’s running against incumbent Ryan Costello (R) in a district that includes Chester County, which just elected progressives to four county-wide positions for the first time in 200 years. The district is seen as very competitive.
Nancy Soderberg (D-FL-06) is a former Ambassador with 30 years of foreign policy experience, including serving as Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to Sen. Ted Kennedy. She has served in the White House, United Nations, U.S. Senate and on four presidential campaigns. She will be a champion for progressive national security policy and a natural leader in the House.
Randy Bryce (D-WI-01), a U.S. Army veteran and union ironworker, has the background to win over a broad swath of voters with the progressive ideology needed to help get the country’s national security policy headed back in the right direction. He has a real chance at beating House Speaker Paul Ryan (R), with whom many are increasingly disgruntled. Speaker Ryan’s defeat would be an unprecedented boost for progressive national security.
Will you help us elect these three progressive national security champions to Congress? Their election can help make a progressive majority on our issues!
Thank you for all you do.
Sincerely,
John Tierney

Council for a Livable World
Member of Congress (former) 1/03/1997–1/03/2015
