Received this e-mail today from Richard Cordray’s (D. OH) gubernatorial campaign:
Right now, nearly 1,500,000 workers and retirees are in danger of losing their pension benefits because of inaction by our representatives.
That doesn’t seem fair to me, Samuel. Ohio workers earned their retirement after a lifetime of hard work, and now the pensions that they paid into for decades might not be there.
Sherrod Brown and I are teaming up to fight for Ohio workers. Add your name to ours to demand that Congress act immediately to save our workers’ pensions.
There’s no plan B here—the agency that usually steps in to save pensions when a plan fails is also running out of funding.
This is serious, and Congress needs to act as soon as possible. 1,500,000 workers and retirees are counting on us to use our voices right now.
