At a charity performance of the musical "Hamilton” in London's West End last night, Londoners were treated to the twin treats of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Prince Harry who burst into song at the end of the musical.
After the Duke of Sussex was introduced on stage by the cast and by Lin-Manuel Miranda as the sixth-great-grandson of King George the Third, the ever articulate Prince Harry, to the utter delight of the cast and audience, sung the beginning of the song “You’ll be back”. The song is sung by the character of King George III in the musical.
Harry only sung the first two words “You Say” and not the rest of the first line of the rather dastardly song. See the comment section below for a rendition of the song and some of its lyrics.
Here is a longer video of the event (is missing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s introduction) -
The royal family channel released a few more videos of the event -
This was a special performance to raise funds for Sentebale, a charity founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso that provides help to children and young people affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.
So, is this the new 21st century? The British Royal Family and the descendants of King George are helping young people around the world while America separates children from their mothers and puts them in cages? The English cannot get enough of Hamilton the Musical, while the American President holds neo-Nazi rallies?
This cannot stand. Let’s restore our American values this November.
