A freshman representative from Colorado on the Judiciary Committee suggests that the Committee may investigate Brett Kavanaugh’s statements to Congress as possible perjury, leading to impeachment.

Representative Joe Neguse (D., Colo.), a freshman member of the House Judiciary Committee, told constituents Friday that the panel will “likely” investigate perjury claims against Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh and may move to impeach him depending on their findings.
“There’s no question [Kavanaugh] committed perjury during the confirmation hearings and so forth,” Neguse said when asked if he planned to pursue Kavanaugh’s impeachment. “I think the Judiciary Committee is likely to take that up.”
I think the only truthful thing Kavanaugh said during his confirmation hearings was “I like beer”.
[Kavanaugh] first said during his testimony that he had only learned of Ms Ramirez’s allegations after they were published in an explosive New Yorker story.
However, NBC News then published a report after obtaining text messages he sent apparently discussing the accusations before they were revealed by the New Yorker.
The reason it remains unclear whether Mr Kavanaugh was purposefully misleading lawmakers on the issue is because he had previously informed investigators in the US Senate that he was aware Ms Ramirez was seeking to substantiate her claims by reaching out to their former classmates and fellow alumni.
However, Ms Ramirez’s accusations aren’t the only issue Mr Kavanaugh was accused of providing misleading statements on. The justice was criticised for providing inaccurate definitions to slang terms included in his yearbook that may have cast the Republican judge in a negative light. He was also alleged not to have provided accurate details about his tenure serving in former President George HW Bush’s White House.
There were so many problems with Kavanaugh’s nomination that unfortunately got overlooked in all the attention the sexual allegations garnered. It’s interesting that this is only being picked up by right wing sites, even Hannity. I guess it’s a bat signal to them.
And let’s not forget what Rep. Jerry Nadler (chairman of the Judiciary Committee) said (promised) way back in the ancient times of September 2018, before we retook the House:

WASHINGTON — House Democrats will open an investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct and perjury against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh if they win control of the House in November, Representative Jerrold Nadler, the New York Democrat in line to be the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said on Friday.
Speaking on the eve of Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote this weekend, Mr. Nadler said that there was evidence that Senate Republicans and the F.B.I. had overseen a “whitewash” investigation of the allegations and that the legitimacy of the Supreme Court was at stake. He sidestepped the issue of impeachment.
I hope he hasn’t forgotten! Perhaps this is what Rep. Neguse was referring to.
