The Portland signs were sent by a crew that will hopefully become the voice of the City of Roses. (They said they intended to switch over to cardboard.) Portland is an amazing city for freewayblogging. The freeways are like spaghetti: twisting and weaving through mountains and forests, with ramps and flyaways braiding and unbraiding into massive bridges, corridors and superstructures. That, along with plenty of interplay between land and water, makes for lots of “Easy to see/Impossible to reach” spots integral to the art. Some great spots in Portland and Seattle…

Supposedly Mike Pompeo will be giving a speech in Cairo praising the Saudis for their handling of the Jamal Khashoggi case. Presumably afterwards he’ll be thanking the Imperial Japanese Fleet for their defense of Pearl Harbor back in 1941.
Interstate 405 northbound by LAX, 155,000 cars per day. Sealed overpass: up for seven days at last report.

This sign was placed as follows: I parked my car, walked along a sidewalk, dropped the sign in between the railing and the fencing, walked back down the sidewalk to where I’d parked, then got into my car and drove away. Questions? Kosmail me or email me at freewayblogger at yahoo.com
