The Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM) in Hood River, Oregon, has on display more than 100 antique airplanes. Shown below are some of the airplanes of the 1940s and 1950s which are on display. The drip pans under most of the planes indicate that this is a functioning aircraft.

1942 Ryan Aeronautical PT-22 Recruit
This airplane has a cruising speed of 110 MPH and a top speed of 120 MPH. More than 1,000 of these airplanes were built. The engine is a 160 horsepower Kinner R-55.
1943 Taylorcraft L-2M Grasshopper
This airplane has a cruising speed of 83 MPH and a top speed of 94 MPH. A total of about 900 of these airplanes were built. The engine is a 65 horsepower Continental A-65.
