Is it Anti christian to say to Christians,if in a discussion, some of the words and events you believed happened are false, and that there is scientific evidence for some of the criticism.? Christians seem to interpret this as ‘knocking’ their personal faith.
Since the 1880’s there has been a tremendous research about the Gospels. there are hundreds of words and dozens of forged passages in the Gospels. It has been documented but bible publishers won’t do revised gospels or even put the clearly forged passages in boxes of shaded areas, for fear of lost sales. we have no revised, accurate Gospels at this time-....that J know of…....just modern reinterpretations..with their g forged words and passages..
Forged passage can kill- such as where the Jews say-’Christ’s death be on me ,and my descendents’-millions of Jews have been killed by Christians over 2,000 years, because of that one.
Go read any book by Bart D. Ehrman,a professor of religion...or look at the ’Ancient Christian Gospels ,Their History and Development’ by Harvard ,professor of the New Testament,at Harvard divinity School-Helmut Koestler.
A minor example-there is no real evidence for Christ Being Born At Christmas…
The only direct piece of evidence is in Gospel Luke, 2:8...there were shepherds out in the fields when Christ was born…..that would indicate Spring, and the birth of lambs..and shepherds out in the fields,in mild spring weather, to protect the new born lambs from predators. So-no december birth. but to mention this is a direct attack on Christianity, and people’s personal beliefs.
The major evidence of forgeries in the Gospels is that words and paragraphs in the Gospels were added later,as gospels were hand copied-and the earliest copies copies didn’t have these passages..
How do we know that? We have two important early 4th century Greek bibles(Codex Vaticanus and CodeX Siniaticus-(made for royalty,)...these are lacking some of the important Gospel passages.
So we know, words and gospel passage were added later, as they are not in these Codexes, but are in many later gospels. How is that possible, except by additions of words and passages?
Example- Mark16:9-20….Christ coming back to earth to give the disciples final instructions about spreading his message….....are not in these two Codexes…
Someone did not like the brief ending to Mark, and added eleven paragraphs to bring it into accordance with other gospels. It is a fake passage and the vast majority of biblical scholars all affirm,on the evidence, that is is a fake. it is the passage where Christ tells people they can drink poison and hadnle deadly snakes,if they beleive in him enough.
But if people criticize Christians for believing fake info..or use fake words and passages as evidence for not being Christian-or disparage certain holidays, well,,they are attacking people’s personal faith.
