Another exciting day in Trumpland! And the pace of the “excitement” is only accelerating!
Which is probably bad!
Listen right here at 9:00 AM ET!
PODCAST LISTENERS: There’s a new podcast platform in town, and the big news is: this one pays! RadioPublic pays podcast producers on a CPM basis, for listens on their native app (available for iPhones & Androids), financed by pre- and post-roll ads they insert. Not a bad way to support the show, with somebody else’s money!
So if you’re a podcast listener, please consider downloading the RadioPublic app on your Android or iOS phone. Yes, you can still download directly from their site, or listen to the player embedded here at Daily Kos. But it’s listens in their app that count toward payment.
Nothing changes on our end. It’s still Greg Dworkin, Joan McCarter, and even Armando. Plus also, me. And you! As always, we still want your voice on the air with us. Sit down with your smart phone or other electronic recording device and send us your stories and commentary to share with the audience. There’s no easier way to try your hand at podcasting, without all the hassle!
Of course there’s no substitute for having your support via Patreon, or one-time contributions via Square Cash. (And hey, if you want a cool trick for donating sorta-kinda cost free, get their cash.me app and use this share code to get $5 in your account (plus $5 in mine) when you send your first $5 (to anyone)!
For now, how about one on the house? Here’s what we did last time out, on our previous LIVE show:
Way up yonder in the far northern frontiers of Virginia, David Waldman is holed up with his kids, and yet another snow typhoon bearing down upon KITM World Headquarters. He needs a cocoa, but first he has to dig us out of this avalanche of scandals:
The Trump administration is rushing to transfer nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia. Wait, wasn’t Jared Kushner supposed to be taking care of that?
Heavies from the Education Department leaned on independent investigators to back off on Betsy DeVos.
In Munich, the real show was behind the scenes, as even Lindsey Graham fought against withdrawal from Syria.
We know something really bad happened between Trump and Russia in 2016, as Donald has told us that over a thousand times, and so did many others, including Matt Whitaker.
Who knew there would be so many Trump scandals that we’d get sick of them? Don’t worry, the main stream media is watching out for us. (Wilbur Ross looks around and slowly sneaks out the back door.) Greg Dworkin rounds up the latest scandals, and predicts that in 2020 Republicans will think 2018 was a good year for them. Donald Trump could win his Omelet Emergency, but his emergency remains a political loser. The same fundamentals in 2018 mean the Gop loses in 2020, or for maybe a generation or two. Of course, Democrats could still pull out a loss if they put some effort into it. The 2016 Bernie Sanders voters had some anti-establishment, and some anti-Hillary in there. It’s up to Sanders’ campaign manager Faiz Shakir to get progressives. There will also be plenty of 400 lb. guys on couches ready to take on any Democratic candidates. Quit paying attention to Twitter trolls!
David pulled some strings and scored an exclusive interview with Armando (You know him as the “Armando” over at Daily Kos) Armando clears up any confusion there might be on what he will say, where he will say it, and how some insults involve idiomatic expressions, which when taken literally may not be physically possible, or culturally/socially probable. More importantly, Democratic Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has become the first of the candidates to express a willingness to expand the Supreme Court after the Republican Party stole a seat in 2016!
In local scandals:
In North Carolina they found someone stole votes, but now what?
Virginia voters know they have some losers at the top, but also know it could be worse.
Joan McCarter tells us that as the walls close in, Trump finds it easier to catch the rats.
Americans with health insurance pretty much like that insurance. Want to know more about what Americans think? Check out, and join Civiqs!
Mitch McConnell and wife Elaine Chao work hand in hand to get their hands on more money and power.
