Back on October 31, 2016 I posted a diary, What If I Told You James Dobson Would Select the Next Supreme Court Justice... Tuesday of this week Joan McCarter posted one called Trump and McConnell's stacking of the courts 'not healthy for the judiciary or the nation'. We covered some of the same material. Joan covered Alliance Defending Freedom (aka ADF) and I discussed Blackstone Legal Foundation. Don’t think of them as separate entities, they’re collaborative, symbiotic.
Joan pointed out that Alliance Defending Freedom is deemed a hate group the Southern Poverty Law Center, whereas Blackstone Legal Foundation has gone somewhat under the radar for most people. However, from their website;
Blackstone Legal Fellowship is a leadership training program that brings together exceptional Christian law students and prepares them for careers marked by integrity, excellence, and leadership. Since 2000, Alliance Defending Freedom has trained more than 2,100 law students from more than 225 law schools in 21 different countries.
Don’t think ADF is the only entity behind getting Allison Jones Rush appointed to the federal bench. Blackstone is the recruiting tool. I look at Blackstone as the Navigators of Law Schools. Even their website shows that ADF and Blackstone are linked.
So, who is Alliance Defending Freedom? A conservative christian hate group working with a conservative christian legal fellowship organization (Blackstone) to get as many conservative christian ideologues appointed to our federal and state courts. The goal of which is to fundamentally change nature of our court system from one that is supposed to be neutral in it’s make-up to one that makes all their decisions based on someone’s interpretation of their christian values.
