Unless the Internet Research Agency has made a sudden about-face, this is a thing.

#RepublicansForImpeachment I voted GOP last election and will never do so again. My husband- lifelong GOP knows that we will be divorced if he dares vote for any GOP the future. Trump has ruined your party. Soon all that the Republicans will have left is Trumps deranged base.
Per The Atlantic, A Trump Transition Staffer Calls for Impeachment:
I’ve worked on every Republican presidential transition team for the past 10 years and recently served as counsel to the Republican-led House Financial Services Committee. My permanent job is as a law professor at the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, which is not political, but where my colleagues have held many prime spots in Republican administrations.
If you think calling for the impeachment of a sitting Republican president would constitute career suicide for someone like me, you may end up being right. But I did exactly that this weekend, tweeting that it’s time to begin impeachment proceedings.
[...]
In the face of a Department of Justice policy that prohibited him from indicting a sitting president, Mueller drafted what any reasonable reader would see as a referral to Congress to commence impeachment hearings.
For this one, emphasis is added in the textual:

My close staunch Republican friend, who bleeds Trump orange, is now supporting Mayor Pete after the Mueller Report was released. The Trump ship is sinking. #RepublicansForImpeachment
...bringing us to my second topic: Pete Buttigieg as unifier.
Reading Worldbegsyoutovote’s diary, I watched this interview of him by Fox’s Chris Wallace:
If you haven’t watched it already, please do. Once you have, or if you have already, please click on it then click on “YouTube” and...
→ read the comment section. ←
It’s a comment section on a FOX “NEWS” interview of a Dem presidential candidate. But there is no mudslinging, no partisan hacking, not even any rudeness, or at least so little I could not find it. Just people talking about how impressive Pete is, how genuine he comes across, how well he did in the interview. And...
People literally in tears of relief to see a comment section so civil. Americans weeping as they write that maybe left and right really can find common ground, and that this man could perhaps unite the nation.
The yearning to return to a time free of divided families, broken friendships, factionalized cities and a torn-in-two country is palpable.
Not only is Pete Buttigieg calm, sensible, compassionate and gentlemanly… but he has the gift of spreading it. He so easily exudes the moral authority of genuine love and honesty that he basically controlled the interview, steering Wallace away from shallow questions to deep ones… you can see Wallace reaching higher in response, and the result: he gets kudos in the comment section too.
You know how everything Trump touches dies, how he appeals to people’s basest instincts, how he makes everyone around him into a worse person?
Buttigieg is the exact opposite. He appeals to people’s highest instincts. He makes everyone around him into a better person.
I want to say, people, there’s your president. For now I’ll just say, he’s THE one to watch.
Now back to the trending topic at hand:
