The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane, Washington, recently hosted a major exhibit: Luminous: Dale Chihuly and the Studio Glass Movement. The exhibit featured the works of 33 major artists. Shown below is some of the representational glass sculpture which was displayed.
According to the display:
“Going beyond mere representation, blown glass provides a special flexibility that encourages a unique interpretation of familiar subject matter.”
