...but one long-overdue piece of karma got delivered today. So amid all the bad news this week, here’s one piece of good news.
Harvey F’ing Weinstein is going away for 23 years!
But first, a word from out sponsor!

Weinstein had every reason to think he’d get away with it. His wealth and power protected him for years, as did any number of enablers, both men and women.
He tried all the bog-standard excuses. He claimed it was consensual. Then, he tried claiming men were all “confused” about consent. He trotted out his (female) lawyer to push the “scary times for men” narrative and cry that women would lose the all-important privilege of men holding doors for them. He honest-to-God complained about not getting “due process” after he was tried before a jury of his peers and found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
You know who didn’t get due process? Ambra Battilana Gutierrez, the woman who got him to confess on tape to assaulting her — and still got turned away by the DA’s office. All the women who had their careers destroyed because he smeared them as “difficult.” All the women who were harassed and assaulted by a man who was treated as untouchable for decades.
So Harvey, if you want to keep trying that line about being “confused,” I have great news. You have 23 years of leisure time to figure it out.
