Welcome to Woozle Wednesday
Yes, it’s Woozle Wednesday, that day of the week when the Pooties take the day off and the pooches come to the rescue and take up the slack — well, those that are trained not to pull on their leashes. Don’t worry, the pooties insist on making an appearance even though it is supposed to be their day off. They just can’t help putting in their two meows worth. Other critters from budgies to wildlife to farmyard friend and other pets will also appear from time to time.
Heard Immunity?
Sure you want to go down this rabbit hole?
Tonight we are heading out to the farm. The residents of Woozleville heard through the grapevine (actually, the messages were sent by peemail but I digress), that some of their friends out in the country were struggling with social distancing. The cows in particular were getting moody. Very moooody.
Cows are sensitive and affectionate creatures. Isolation was taking its toll on some members of the herd. “We don’t want to be immune from the herd. We love being members of a caring community.” The woozles understood — they are pack animals themselves. So the pooches reached out to see if they could help.
Mostly, the cows just wanted to be heard! And not all the bovines had the same grips, as it turns out. Some discovered that their newly-found isolation was rather addictive. Other cows, used to roaming cheek to jowl and hoof to udder with their extended family, found paring down (or even pairing down) to a small select group of friends and family difficult.
Before we see what the critters are up to below the fold, the Woozleville Town Parliamentarian will make sure that the Rulz are posted in the minutes, per our arrangement with the venue’s Management:
THE RULZ
- Do not “Troll” the Pootie Peeps Diaries. If you don’t like animal diaries, there’s no need to tell us about it. Just go find some other diary more to your liking.
- Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly. So, no pie fights please.
- If you would like a pic from the comment threads, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks!
- There are some pics we never post: 1) snakes and creepy crawlies (some folks have phobias). 2) Any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals, even in jest, are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated.
- If you’re not sure about an issue...please ask. Someone is always glad to help.
- Links to the Community Needs List or other fundraising diaries are always welcome here. Just links with a short explanation, please, and not the entire fundraising request, per the management.
PWB Peeps posts two diaries a day for animal lovers: a daytime diary at 1:45 pm Eastern and a nightly open thread at 10 pm Eastern. We concoct silly stories, share photos, seek & give advice about pet health and behavior issues, support each other in times of sadness and stress, celebrate together when times are good, and on most days have an inordinate amount of fun.
You are welcome to join us! Be kind to one another, we’re all in this together.
We’re All In This Together (but 6 feet apart)

Herd Immunity (aka, I Vant To Be Alone)
Some cows miss the herd, others not so much.

These Cows Found Creative Ways To Stay Safely Entertained
Cows are essential workers so they still need to go to the dairy barn twice a day to be milked. But between times, they have a lot of time on their hooves. Literally. What to do?
