Connecting Trump’s numerous and oft-repeated lies to Americans about Covid-19 with his hate-filled remarks inciting the violence, chaos, and inhumanity that has infected our country, Powered by People’s volunteer recruitment video — “No One Saw It Coming” — is one helluva scathing indictment of the current White House occupant.
“No One Saw It Coming” indicts that orange troll using clips and recordings of his own words, including his racist and misogynistic rhetoric, as well as his administration’s vile and inhumane treatment of brown-skinned immigrants, including children.
There’s even a clip of Jeb Bush attacking him for his “weakness!” Watch:
Here’s the written message accompanying those damning video and audio clips:
No one saw it coming
We ignored all the signs
But it was contagious
It took over the nation
People suffered and died
It stripped us of our humanity
It imposed a lockdown
It fed on misinformation
We failed to stop it
It spiked
Let’s rid ourselves of this terrible virus
This fall, we must avoid a second wave
On November 3rd VOTE to save our democracy.

The deadline to register to vote in Texas is Monday, October 5th, which is less than 3 weeks away.
I’ll let Beto explain the stakes here:
We’re fighting on two fronts to win Texas this year.
The first front involves contacting voters directly. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we have made over 30 million phone calls and texts to Texas voters in the last five months.
But that’s not all. We also want to add MORE voters to the rolls, specifically those Texans most likely to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.
Which brings us to the second important line of attack: registering likely Democrats throughout the state.
We’re already making a lot of progress. Just in the last three months, Powered by People volunteers have helped to register nearly 80,000 new voters. But we could use your help in registering even more:
Some of these Texas House candidates we’re supporting lost their races in 2018 by less than 500 votes. Adding more Democratic voters to the rolls helps us win these races, and, by extension, a Democratic majority in the Texas House.
But we can also do something really big for the country. If we are successful on these twin efforts — adding more voters to the rolls and helping to turn voters out at the highest level in Texas history — then we can not only win the Texas House, we can also help Joe Biden become the first Democrat in 44 years to win our state’s electoral votes.
We can’t do this without more volunteers making more voter registration calls. Please give what time you can now to ensure we make the most of this moment to help Texas and the country when it matters most.
I’ll be making calls with you, and we’ll be joined by hundreds — hopefully thousands — of other volunteers.
See you soon,
Beto
Here’s a fun screenshot of 4 competitive Texas state house candidates — Natali Hurtado for HD-126, Eliz Markowitz for HD-28, Lorenzo Sanchez for HD-67, and Alisa Simmons for HD-94 — during Monday night’s phonebank!
Please consider making calls with Beto this Wednesday evening during Powered by People’s final voter registration phone bank: events.poweredxpeople.org
Or consider donating here to support Beto’s and Powered by People’s efforts helping to elect Texas state house candidates.
Or share this link with any Texans you know — especially those who have moved here recently and might be unaware of the early deadline — to help them get registered to vote by October 5th.
Thanks so much for anything you can do to help us take back our state!
