It’s Apocalypse Thursday here in Virginia.
The state legislature passed and Vest Guy signed a law forbidding local school board mask mandates that was supposed to be effective on March 1st. But then the Loudoun County schools moved to make masking optional on the first day of school next week—on Tuesday, thanks to the Presidents Day holiday. But last night, a Loudoun County judge ordered the prohibition effective immediately, so this morning, masking became optional in Loudoun County schools.
So, here’s hoping we make it through to the other side, and the kids can keep their hands (and aerosols) to themselves and under control. Ha ha. Oh well.
Maybe Greg Dworkin will have some news to lighten the mood, like perhaps there’s a plague of locusts somewhere, or something wacky like that.
