If helping financially isn’t the right choice for you at this time, you can still help. Tip and rec the diary so it stays visible. Share on social media: Twitter, Facebook, whatever platform you use, to bring the attention of others outside our daily readers. And offer words of encouragement to people who are struggling. It can be scary to be struggling, and it can feel lonely. Let them know we understand and are here to help.
And thank you to all who’ve helped, whether by sending money, reccing, or sharing.
Dunblane is one of the strays that has come to me here on my farm. Unfortunately, he is one of two who came with FIV. You can see that he’s holding up a front paw. He also came with a wrist that had been broken and healed on its own. He doesn’t like to put weight on it but can if he has to. The vet said he couldn’t do anything more than amputate that leg, but as you see, he still has some use of it so I opted not to do that. He can climb the cat tower. He’s slow to jump down, though, and I can see he’s preparing himself for the landing, but he does get up and down it on his own. I know he does, because his favorite spot for sleeping is at the very top.
This is the sweetest kitty! He was about 2 years old when he first came, and now he’s nearly 10, so it’s been a reasonably long life. He had two bouts of pancreatitis early on, but with diet adjustments he’s done well. I hope he’s around for a good many years yet.
