A SurveyUSA Poll of Georgia has Senator Raphael Warnock leading in his reelection bid 48% to 39% over Republican Herschel Walker, with 5% supporting minor candidates.
The survey has a statistical tie for governor of Georgia with the current Governor Brian Kemp at 45% to 44% for Democrat Stacey Abrams.
Before 2020, the Peach State was consistently Republican. Joe Biden won there by less that 11,000 votes and the two Senate races were both won by Democrats in runoff elections after the turmoil of the 2020 election.
Kemps troubles may be partly due to his quarrels with Trump. Herschel Walker is just a poor candidate.
The poll was conducted July 21-24.

Next most important to voters this fall is the issue of abortion, cited by 11% as their top issue; those voters back Abrams by 54 points…
Herschel Walker significantly underperforms Brian Kemp's numbers: of those who cast a vote for Kemp for Governor, only 78% vote for Walker for Senate. Of those who vote for Stacey Abrams in the gubernatorial contest, 93% vote for Raphael Warnock.
Another opinion poll released this week by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows Republicans performing a little better that the SurveyUSA Poll.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Poll also asked opinions on abortion.
