Here’s what you need to know: North Carolina’s closest Congressional race this year is NC-13. It’s a 50/50 district that FiveThirtyEight says is basically a toss-up.
The Republican newcomer candidate, Bo Hines, is 26 years old and a “Madison Cawthorn 2.0” if there ever was one. Yet despite having graduated from Yale, it appears that Bo doesn’t know what the term “banana republic” means — and he showed it on this interview recorded just last Friday:
Well… that’s embarrassing.
Democrats have a strong challenger in this race: State Senator Wiley Nickel. We’re guessing he’s going to find this and pounce on it. (We’re pretty sure he knows what the term actually means, too.)
