E. Jean Carroll is suing TFG under the Adult Survivors Act in New York. Trump’s deposition was released after attempts to dismiss both of her lawsuits failed.
Q: And so the question I'm asking you is did she say in that interview that she loved being sexually assaulted by you?
Trump: Well, she said something to that effect. I mean, you'll have to take a look at the interview yourself. I believe she said rape was sexy, to which Anderson Cooper is dying. He's saying let's get to a commercial break immediately. I think you better watch the interview. I'm sure you have, but you better watch the interview.
Now that all sounds pretty bizarre — and in the deposition he was asked multiple times to clarify (above is the third time).
Newsweek:
Katie Phang (MSNBC) reports that Trump’s unsealed testimony is going to be used against him:
"The legal significance is he steps in it and over and over again," Phang said. "And more importantly, later on in his deposition, he basically denies flat out that he's ever touched a woman and any part of her body—specifically is denying touching a woman on her breast or buttocks or any other sexual part without her consent.
"He said no under oath. The whole world knows that on an Access Hollywood tape, he boasted about how he would grab them by the 'blank,' and you could do it when you're a star," Phang added. "He's caught in repeated lies throughout the course of this sworn videotaped deposition."
The trial is in April. I pity the jury that has to listen to this, but I hope justice is served.
