Stormfly will not walk past her stall without throwing a fit. She thinks my daughter gives a sh—, but what you can’t see from the angle of this photo is her having a blast. (I watched in horror).
Nineteen years ago today, I unexpectedly brought my daughter into the world. During my last trimester, I was given neonatal monitoring several times a week. On this day, I had a mid morning appointment, and did not return home. I was instead sent to labor and delivery.
My parents and husband came to the hospital. At 5:00, my baby’s heart rate dropped quickly and too low. 90 seconds to get to the surgery room, and within 2 minutes they had my daughter out and rushed her to the NICU.
By the time I woke up, my husband and father had already visited her.
Five days later, after a midnight feeding, we were sent home.
At the time of this writing, she’s driving to the ranch to give a horse back riding lesson. I’m so proud of her. And excited for her.
I do not believe this is her wine, but I could be wrong. Bonus GTP cameo.

At the time of this posting, we will be going to dinner. I’ll check in later tonight.
