The World War II Gallery in the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio includes several displays of memorabilia relating to World War II. Shown below are some of the posters and historic photographs from these displays.

The U.S. military during World War II was racially segregated with African Americans restricted to labor battalions or other support positions. The exception to this were the Tuskegee Airman which demonstrated that African Americans could fly in, command, and support combat air force units.
