It may be time to make “populism” popular again.
Real populism. Not faux populism. Not ground-hog-day Infrastructure weeks, that never amounted to a hill of beans. But instead Joe Biden populism, you know the kind that actually puts people first. The kind that actually puts people to work, that gives students a hand. The kind that grows the economy, instead of holding it hostage.
You know, Bidenomics populism — to coin a catchy phrase, that even fits on a blue hat.
Joe Biden's Economic Plan Is Winning Over Americans
President Joe Biden's economic plans are winning over Americans, according to new polling conducted for Newsweek that asked eligible voters about their views on "Bidenomics." […] The state of the U.S. economy has been a major concern for the Biden administration since the president took office, and his political opponents have strongly criticized his economic agenda, particularly his handling of inflation. However, the president has had successes there.
While conservatives have mocked Bidenomics, the Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll found that 25 percent of eligible voters strongly support Biden's aim "to build an economy from the bottom up and the middle out, not from the top down." A further 22 percent said they supported the president's plan, a total of 47 percent in support of so-called Bidenomics.
Another 23 percent of respondents said they neither supported nor opposed it; 14 percent replied they strongly opposed Biden's aims; while 6 percent stated they were opposed, and 9 percent answered "don't know." The Redfield & Wilton Strategies poll was conducted among 1,500 eligible voters on July 6, 2023.

The Biden administration on Wednesday proposed new guidelines for corporate mergers, took steps to disclose the junk fees charged by landlords and launched a crackdown on price-gouging in the food industry.

“Bidenomics is about increasing competition, not stifling competition,” the president said before the meeting. “When companies have to compete, it means lower prices, fair wages and more innovation.”
Economy, abortion give Biden slight 2024 edge — Reuters/Ipsos

Biden, 80, is seeking a second term in office, and he has signaled that he plans to run largely on his economic record – particularly low unemployment and public investment in job creation, which he terms "Bidenomics."
A significant share of voters, 36%, said they expect their personal economic situation to improve next year when asked: "Looking ahead a year from now, do you expect your personal financial situation to be much stronger, somewhat stronger, about the same, somewhat weaker, or much weaker than it is now?" That compared with a total of 20% who expect it to be weaker. Another 38% said they expected it to be about the same and the rest said they did not know. Optimists outnumbered pessimists among Democrats, Republicans and independents.
[…]
Some 73% of independents said they were less likely to support a presidential candidate who backs laws banning or severely restricting abortion access, compared with 27% who said they were more likely.
A solid 72% majority of suburban white women - seen by many political strategists as an important demographic - said they were less likely to back an anti-abortion candidate.
Biden uses clips of Marjorie Taylor Greene speech for new campaign ad
In response to Greene’s speech, the White House tweeted on Monday: “Caught us. President Biden is working to make life easier for hardworking families.”

The Biden administration has been promoting “Bidenomics” over the past few weeks – an economic theory which rejects the idea of “trickle-down” policies in favor of focusing on the middle class. It is expected to be a centerpiece of Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign.
The president first embraced the idea in June at a time when the administration was searching for a solution to Americans’ negative perception of the economy and a vehicle to take credit for an economy that is increasingly trending in the right direction.
This unexpected “endorsement message” really needs to go viral:
That Ad is a helluva a lot more effective — with the “undecideds” — than dwelling on the endless fallibilities of the former guy.

Leadership is about being steady and setting a strong example — it’s NOT about shady grifting, scams, and schemes.
Leadership is about compassion, values, experience and principles.
President Joe Biden has these qualities in abundance. Far far more than the alternative.

Trump’s own words will be his undoing. No one likes a ceaseless whiner, especially when he gets caught red-handed — with no defense for the serial crimes.
