Yesterday, House Democrats led by Rep Jared Huffman (CA) launched an effort to fight against Project 2025 and its plans for another Trump Presidency. Democrats intend to inform the public about Project 2025 before the November elections and to fight against it should Trump take back the White House.
Additionally, Axios reported earlier that Biden WILL be using the term ‘Project 2025’ to attack Trump in the upcoming election. It may be possible to use “Project 2025” as shorthand for Republicans’ plan to implement their radical agenda.
From ABC News:
WASHINGTON -- Warning about the far-right Project 2025 agenda for a Donald Trump White House, a group of House Democrats has launched a task force to start fighting the proposal and stop it from taking hold if the Republican former president returns to power.
Democratic Rep. Jared Huffman of California is unveiling The Stop Project 2025 Task Force on Tuesday, the latest sign that congressional Democrats and outside groups are treating Trump’s campaign seriously in the expected rematch against Democratic President Joe Biden this fall.

Core to the Project 2025 plan is ousting thousands of civil servants and replacing them with personnel from a database of applicants, an effort to reverse the setbacks of Trump's first term, when many of his more extreme ideas were thwarted and blocked by those refusing to break norms or overextend presidential powers.

Huffman's group is the latest to take on the Project 2025 proposal and plans for a Trump White House.
Last week, one of the nation's leading civil rights organizations, the American Civil Liberties Union, announced it was preparing potential legal action to stop Trump's campaign promise to launch mass deportations of immigrants on the first day of his presidency if elected. It's the first of several memos the ACLU is rolling out, offering a blueprint on how it plans to respond to a second Trump or Biden term.

What is Project 2025?
Project 2025 is more than an idea, it's a dystopian plot that's already in motion to dismantle our democratic institutions, abolish checks and balances, chip away at church-state separation, and impose a far-right agenda that infringes on basic liberties and violates public will," said Huffman. "This is an unprecedented embrace of extremism, fascism, and religious nationalism, orchestrated by the radical right and its dark money backers."
"We need a coordinated strategy to save America and stop this coup before it's too late," the congressman added."Through this task force, leaders across the ideological spectrum and experts in every policy area that's under attack are uniting to protect democracy as we know it. Donald Trump and those behind Project 2025 are ready to turn America into a theocratic regime if they get the chance—and we are going to be ready to stop them."

It’s reported that the Biden campaign will use Project 2025 against Trump in November.
Scoop: Biden campaign's plan of attack
The Biden-Harris campaign plans to try to usurp "Project 2025" — the name of a well-funded Heritage Foundation effort to prepare for a second Trump administration — to brand warnings about the former president's policies.
Why it matters: President Biden's campaign tells me "Project 2025" resonates on social media, and in conversations with voters, as shorthand for what former President Trump would do if he won in November.
- So the Biden campaign's rapid-response architects are going to start using the term themselves.

Trump’s Project 2025 plot would take ‘wrecking ball’ to US institutions, key Democrat warns
Jared Huffman sounds alarm over extremist manifesto for second Trump term produced by Heritage Foundationsnip
The Project 2025 document makes recommendations across four broad fronts: restoring the family as the centrepiece of American life; dismantling the administrative state; defending the nation’s sovereignty and borders; and securing “God-given” individual rights to live freely. That would translate into a fresh crackdown on reproductive freedom and draconian immigration laws – including even religious tests – within the first six months of a Trump presidency.

“It is just a wrecking ball against everything that most of us hold dear about our country and our democracy, and that’s the biggest challenge we face … How do you explain that this really is what they’re going to do without overwhelming people?”
One answer, the California representative hopes, is the taskforce, intended to serve as a hub for members of Congress, civil society and affected communities to coordinate on examining, highlighting, pre-empting and counteracting what they see as a rightwing plot to undermine democracy.
Huffman explained: “It’s a two-part objective. One is to help the American people understand that this is real and that it’s coming, because if they do understand, I think they’re going to want no part of it.
“The second part is, in the unthinkable, if Trump somehow manages to win, we’re not going to have the luxury of time. If we’re reacting to these things as they’re rolling out, or in any way caught off-guard, we’re going to lose, so we’ve got to be ready to to call it out and fight it in real time, and that means we need to really understand it now.”

“If we’re trying to react to it and understand it in real time, it’s too late,” he said. “We need to see it coming well in advance and prepare ourselves accordingly.”
The Democratic-led task force comes as groups on and off Capitol Hill are increasingly alarmed over Project 2025, a sweeping blueprint from the conservative Heritage Foundation that is preparing to quickly help staff a new GOP administration with plans for dismantling aspects of the federal government and installing loyalists for a second Trump term.
