Whether you’re a fan of country music or not you’ve got to love singer and songwriter Dolly Parton. Her love for everyone, no matter their race, creed or orientation, personifies what I grew up thinking of as true Christianity. Sadly, she has recently caught heat for this stark tolerance.
A lot of people aren’t aware that Ms. Parton wrote the song “I Will Always Love You.” Yet she did in 1973. Further, when the phenomenal Whitney Huston took the song to the top of the charts Dolly donated every dime of her royalties from it to beautify Nashville’s largest predominately Black neighborhood.
