The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States. Its monetary policy decisions are not approved by the president, the executive or the legislative branches of government so to that extent it is independent.
Trump wants to challenge the central bank’s authority. When he’s president, he thinks he could review or even set interest rates. He’s often said he likes “low interest rates” so low it is. No matter what economic havoc ensues.
Among the awful and hideous Trump plans for a 2d term, this one is delightful.
Communist Manifesto, measure number 5:
5. – “Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.”
Yep, it’s a Commie thing Donald is proposing, but more: Commie-with-the-dictator because it will be “centralized in the hands of the Great Leader.”
Marx & Engels were right: There is no more effective means of controlling the economy than by controlling the interest rate. Trump agrees.
How often has Trump called his enemies (us) “Communists” and “Marxists?” Turns out Trump’s authoritarian instincts are pure Marxism.
Funny that. He.Must.Be.Stopped.
