The convicted felon Donald J Trump should have dropped out of the race long ago. He is certainly not competent to hold the office of the presidency, if he ever was. Yet his lack of anything resembling self-awareness leads him to believe that he is uniquely qualified, the best person to do anything in the whole wide world. He’s part-right there; he’s uniquely qualified.
So why are we arguing about whether or not Joseph Biden should drop out? It is a waste of time we could better spend on activism and get-out-the-vote, and hammering away at the convicted felon’s many, many, many deficiencies, as a politician, a businessman, and even a person. More to the point, the longer we argue with ourselves over whether Biden should stay, the less enthusiasm we can hope to generate for voting Democratic.
Instead of that, I have a proposal. Let’s leave the question of whether Biden should be the candidate to him and his campaign, and get back to the vitally important task of getting as many people to vote Democratic in November as we can. Since the convicted felon won’t drop out, it’s our job to make him lose, as badly as possible, and to create as much of a blue wave as we possibly can with our own actions, to show the rest of the country that he is a weak and demented blowhard who can’t be trusted with so much as a fork and butter knife.
Because the one thing we can agree on is that defeating the convicted felon Donald J Trump is of the utmost importance.
