It’s the last day of Pride Month….never the last day of Pride!!
Good morning, Newdists. Grab a cup of something fabulous and join us for a while….
I know it’s a birthday cake, but isn’t she just faboo?
All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation.
There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope.
We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community.
We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.

Pride Month, US President Bill Clinton first declared "the anniversary of Stonewall every June in America as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month" in a 1999 presidential proclamation.[18] Barack Obama expanded the official Pride Month recognition in 2011, including the whole of the LGBT community.[18][19] Donald Trump declined to offer federal recognition of Pride Month in 2017. Joe Biden recognized Pride Month after taking office in 2021, and vowed to push for LGBT rights in the United States,[22] despite previously voting against same-sex marriage and school education of LGBT topics in the Senate.
I celebrate Pride Month with my brothers and sisters in the community. I vote to protect their rights to exist, to be treated fairly, to marry whomever they please, to LOVE whomever they please. Love is Love. And every year, I think of those we have lost; lost to hatred, lost to disease, lost to the indignity of being considered “other.” I will never forget the impact you’ve had on my life, and the lives of all those who love you.
A little wildlife….

If I’m gonna have a little “demon” in me, I might as well do this:
Just the thing for a lazy Sunday!
My final word on the debate:
