LOL! I just had to title it that way. Finally, Trump is a convicted felon. Despite what a lot of political pundits said about this trial, it was a very important case. It still rankles me that they call in only “the hush money” case. It was an election interference case and 12 American citizens agreed unanimously that he was guilty on 34 felony counts.
So this, along with being found guilty of defamation, adjudicated a sexual assaulter, found guilty of fraud to the tune of a half a billion dollars and his business guilty of felonies, SHOULD wholly disqualify him from the presidency. Any hint of ONE of those things would (and have) sink a Democrat.
So here are two things that anger me:
#1: The GOP so disrespects American citizens and this country that they think it’s just peachy to keep him as their nominee. They care so little for anything except power and money that they’ll continue to support a convicted felon to represent us to the world.
#2: The media. Specifically the political media and pundits. If this was a Democrat, the calls for him or her to DROP OUT NOW would have reached a crescendo probably with the first indictments. Yet with Trump… they continue to brush right by that and push the horse race. If fact some of these pundits are even asking “should Democrats replace Biden?” with a straight face!
Now… here is what we need to do:
We can not rest. Even though polls are starting to shift and a lot of independents and some GOPers are saying they will never vote for Trump. It’s time to make a plan on what work you will be doing this year. Donate money or donate time for the campaign, not only Biden’s but your local and state Dems too. I believe if we work hard, we will win in a big way.
And don’t let the GOPers defiant public stance fool you… I believe in private, GOP leaders and funders are freaking out that Trump is the nominee with all this baggage. We won’t get MAGA voters, but we don’t need to. We just need the independents and the non-MAGA GOPers and we got this.
Also… encourage everyone you know to vote. And make sure they vote down ticket. I heard a statistic today that explains how GOPers have a stranglehold on state legislatures. 80% of GOP voters vote completely down ticket as opposed to Dem voters who only vote 57% down ticket. That’s an appalling statistic that we need to change.
OK…. I hope I didn’t bore you with my essay. I’m off the soapbox and here’s some other news.
Excellent opening statement:
He is going to make a great Senator!
More 2020 election denier indictments:
Excellent News!
Love these billboards. We need them all over the country!
Finally, this is heartwarming:
OK, that’s all for now. Chat away.
