Can’t personally vouch for the Daily Dot, but at least a couple of bias-rating sites give it reasonably good “factual accuracy” ratings.
Interestingly, if the claims by the Heritage Foundation about it being publicly accessible are true then there probably wasn’t actually any crime committed. Certainly the group didn’t attempt to extort anything from HF, just to publicize it. Darkly amusing that the first reaction of HF was to claim the Daily Dot was “in on it”, but also pretty typical…
