This is meant as an unofficial thread for the Daily Kos Elections crowd to discuss what is going on with Biden and efforts to get him to step down from the Presidential nomination. This is because very wisely talk over who should be the nominee aka primary talk is forbidden because it tends to drown out all other talk. All I ask for in this thread is that we keep it to electoral politics (how it will affect the election) rather than policy.
A few more replacement calls. A good mass rally for Joe Biden. And Joe Biden still holding all the cards as many may want to replace him but have no ability to do so beyond begging and pleading. There has been good nationwide polling with Biden ever so slightly ahead within the margin of error to go along with state polls painting a much different picture. Of course pre-Labor Day polls can be pretty bad indicators.
My anecdotal observation is almost all Democrats I meet are scared and would rather have Biden replaced. But all of them are still onboard for voting for Biden again. Which may be the saving grace. That Biden is really really old is already baked into how people see him and for what they signed up for in 2020. If that is a hurdle you were willing to jump over before there is a decent chance you’re going to do so again. Or at least we will be praying that is in fact the case.
I’ll end with President Joe Biden talking about Corn Pop.
