Russia continues to press its offensive at Chasiv Yar, west of Bakhmut.
Chasiv Yar is on high ground so losing it would be a blow. Russia is threatening to cut western supply lines to Ukrainian defenders. The town still could be supplied from the north but those supply routes would then be threatened.
The war also continues at Klishchiivka. This video includes a drone striking Russian positions inside a bombed out church.
“We are war machines!”
Karate doesn’t work on a drone.
But a fish does.
Speaking of fish.
Another 1,030 Russians fucked around and found out.
Fly the Friendly Skies.
I’ve seen a lot of videos like this of migrants trying to breach the Polish border getting turned back. But what happens to them after they fail? Do they stay in Belarus? Keep trying to get to Poland?
How fucked up in the head do you have to be to defend bombing a children’s hospital?
* "We must take into account - simply and scarily: there are no people on that side. Not one person. Our missiles don't kill people. There's not one person there. Un-humans are there."
* "If we don't accept that as a given, if we don't forbid ourselves to consider them humans, to feel sorry for them, save them - we will weaken ourselves."
* "So - simple and scary, but we must not justify ourselves for the strike on the children's hospital. We must say: do you want this to stop? Give up. Capitulate. And then, maybe, we will spare you."
* "Maybe it's time we agreed that there's no civilian population on that side of the Dnipro? And turn their cities into 'Gaza' - with a simple and clear goal to save our children from death."
They need to go from near-revolt to wholesale fragging.
With apologies to Steely Dan:
In the mornin' you go gunnin' for the Belgorod commander
And you fire 'til he is done in but they catch you at the border
And your comrades are all drinkin' as they drag you by your feet
But the hangman isn't hangin' and they send you back to the front
Yes, let’s have more doom posting from Russians.
Tack on the comments about how 152mm artillery is a dead end technology due to lack of investment and development from the 80s onwards. Even their latest models, which Russia cannot even produce due to lack of industrial power, is dramatically inferior to even cheap 155mm pieces
Orban’s charm offensive is working great.
If they are both sergeants, who gets to give orders? I’m guessing mom.
Who needs to sip coffee in a cafe on the Amalfi coast or Montmartre when you can have a potato in Belarus?
Rest in peace.
Dad’s home.
