It doesn’t matter who is the Democratic nominee, it is crucial that the Dems (Biden campaign, DNC, whoever) attack Trump starting now, and a lot and continuously until the election.
What’s happening at this moment is all the attention on who the Dems will have up for President is giving Trump a reprieve from attention, including importantly negative attention. There is a messaging vacuum. What do the Republicans and Trump usually do with this kind of vacuum? They fill it. Biden and the Dems need to do the same. The contrasts couldn’t be more stark and those related to Trump’s character and fitness would be most relevant in an atmosphere where facts and policies are of little interest to the electorate.
Simple messaging would work best (as always) and it must be repeated ad nauseum. I suggested something like the below a while ago. This is one of many that could be used (forget the graphic — I’m sure others could do better). Using Trump’s own words is gold. In any case, keep it simple and short.
Time to attack, to go on offense — BIG TIME. It just might change the narrative out there and at least would keep Trump’s negatives top-of-mind to the voters.
