I just watched Biden’s rally in Michigan, and I’m here to speak to the naysayers. If you didn’t watch it, you should.
Sure, there was his usual struggles with his oratory issues, but nevertheless, he was clear as a fucking bell. This was State of the Union Joe, and I think it’s far from the last time we’ll see him.
There are people here who I respect who disagree with me, and to those people, I tip my hat to your passion, and I understand your worries. I’ve had a few dark nights of the soul wondering what’s right, since the debate, and I HAVE questioned myself.
BUT, I have come to understand that there is no way for Joe to prove himself to those who are settled on their meme. For me, I’ve seen enough, and I’m with Joe. ALL THE FREAKING WAY.
But far past how I feel, Joe Biden is running. PERIOD. And I don’t want to hear the press or the donors or the celebrities, or even Nancy Pelosi, ask one more time, “but is he really still running?” Or, dear God spare me, “hey breaks my heart, but he should drop out”.
For those of you who think your battle to dump Joe is alive and well, it is not. Joe Biden has always had the last word here, and HE IS RUNNING, and he’s found his mojo again, after a press frenzy of cowardliness in discussing Trump and a have-at-it-at Biden of which I have never seen the likes of.
And, It’s so odd to me that when a guy gets back on his feet with ferocity and fight, that’s just not good enough for some in a country who sees these things as a battle between gladiators.
Fact is, Joe is not dropping out, and if you’d seen the rally in Michigan tonight, you’d understand how many of us don’t want him to quit, and you’d maybe ask yourself what the price of your opinion might be if you succeed with your efforts. And yes, I’ve asked myself the same question. As has this country for two solid weeks every day, in every way, while the real monster sits on the sideline and gloats.
IMO, anyone now or real damn soon from now, who keeps fighting to bring Joe Biden down is hurting our chances against Donald Trump. And yeah, I could go on and on and on about Trump’s far more serious signs of age, not to mention the bomb of all his other issues, but whatever side you’re on, y’all know that.
It is time to coalesce. There has been a lot of damage done to Joe’s campaign, far beyond his bad night, by both the media and folks who think our best choice is to dump an incumbent president 4 months before the election without any plan or strategy that I’ve seen. If you’re one of those, I don’t seek to change your opinion, anymore than you’re going to change mine.
But you must accept that Joe Biden won his primary fair and square and HE IS NOT GOING TO DROP OUT. So if you want to keep fighting him, then you are the problem.
