I tried to publish this earlier, but it got flagged for content which I’ve now deleted. Hopefully this time it will go through.
So I don’t know if the link will actually work or not but if you google “I’m flying to America to support Trump in this Desperate Hour” you can probably find it. It’s an opinion piece in the British newspaper ‘The Telegraph’. I’m not familiar with the author, Nigel Farage but he’s clearly a right winger in British politics.
When I read the headline, at first, I thought it was a joke. But no. Mr. Farage is seriously blaming the left for the uptick in political violence. And maybe that’s right in Britain, I’ve not been there, and I don’t follow their politics. But to make such a statement regarding the United States indicates a level of self-delusion that is truly staggering. He maintains that he’s had rocks, and drinks thrown at him in public. I cannot recall (granted since I don’t sleep, my memory is sometimes a bit hazy) any instances of right wing politicians in the US having things thrown at them. I do recall quite clearly, plots by people on the right to assassinate a liberal governor, right wingers driving cars into peaceful protests teenagers shooting and killing peaceful protesters and being allowed to get away with it . . . the list goes on. There are threats of violence practically every day, but not by the left. If Mr. Farage wants to criticize ANYONE in the US for inciting violence, he should take a long hard look at ‘my friend Donald Trump.’
