Whether it is fair or not President Biden is highly unlikely to be our nominee. President Biden who saved us from another 4 years of President Trump and who led us out of COVID and passed some of the most important legislation of the last 40 years will likely step down.
3 Democratic Senators, a large number of Representatives, and party leaders like Obama/Pelosi/Schumer appear to be telling the president it is time to step aside.
President Biden is still extremely popular here and his supporters should be proud, but there is no way he can come back from this. If the party stood lockstep behind him after the debate and the President was able to go into full campaign mode and prove the naysayers wrong things could have been different, but it isn’t. What will the Democratic Convention be like at this point if he is still the nominee with everything that has be said recently? The sad reality is that Democratic Voters are wishy-washy in general. They refuse to vote consistently for the policies they support for stupid reasons. With RFK still in the race it isn’t head to head and it is likely he will take support away from the president. We saw this with Hillary Clinton.
It is time to start praising the LONG list of accomplishments and spend the next 3+ months talking about what an amazing President he is and how our next nominee will carry the torch.
