As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

Greetings, my friends. We have made it through another week, and that is a good thing. I hope that all of you are having a fantastic Saturday.
A new Stephen King book dropped recently, so of course, I had to write about it and show give you the links where you can find it. You Like It Darker, is not a novel, which has become his usual fair, but rather, in this book, Stephen goes back to his roots and offers us several short stories and novellas. Aside from the one, which leans far too heavily on HP Lovecraft for my particular tastes, I found every other story in this book to be a real treasure. I even enjoyed the short trip back to the Florida Keys, as portrayed in “Rattlesnakes ”, and the brief return of Duma Key, the fictional island Stephen destroyed in the novel of the same name. If you get the chance, and if, like me, you like it dark, I strongly recommend you grab this one, and give it a read.
