trump today posted this message where he claims that he knows nothing about Project 2025 or the people behind it.
In the very next sentence, he says that he disagrees with some of the things they are saying and that some of the things being said are “absolutely abysmal.”
That may be enough to fool some of his most fanatic supporters, who are busy parroting these words on xitter. But many voters are getting concerned as they hear about Project 2025 - www.rawstory.com/... and www.salon.com/...
"Swing voters and people who aren't sure yet if they're going to vote are starting to hear about this 'Project 2025' — and they do not like it," writes columnist Amanda Marcotte.
Project 2025 — a platform crafted by the Heritage Foundation whose president this week delivered veiled threats of bloody revolution — is described by Marcotte as "a laundry list of the far-right's most politically toxic ideas" that includes a nationwide abortion ban, mass federal firings and the dismantling of the Education department.
The post from trump gaslighting about his knowledge of Project 2025 was probably triggered by a few recent events. Such as "Taraji P. Henson Halts BET Awards to Warn About Trump Reelection: ‘The Project 2025 Plan Is Not a Game’ " — www.thewrap.com/...
“I’m talking to all the mad people that don’t want to vote: You’re going to be mad about a lot of things if you don’t vote."
Perhaps, the recent statements from Project 2025 planners about revolution and violence, sent some warning signals to trump’s handlers.
Project 2025 is a detailed blueprint of policy transition proposals that outline how Trump can vastly remake the federal government to carry out an extremist far-right agenda.
So, instead of endless litigation and diaries about Biden’s age and whether he should drop out of the race (the NYTimes and WaPo have been pushing this story at the top of their front page every day since the debate, let’s neutralize it instead of amplifying it), let's spend more time and effort shining the light on Project 2025. Because that's what's in store for the U.S. if trump and republicans win. If the electorate understands it, we may have some chance of stopping this election juggernaut of the republican party, funded by billionaires, supported by their media acolytes and fueled by Putin’s propaganda.
Here are couple of posters on Project 2025 (posted on Xitter) -
