Please please please include a few words about why you sent it in as well as your user name (even if you think we know it already :-)), so we can credit you with the find!
So finally, I nailed down the transportation portion and, as a result, I will be at Netroots next week in Baltimore. I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I haven’t really looked over the programming for the conference or anything but I am especially looking forward to seeing New York Attorney General Leticia James but other than that.
One caveat that I think that I kinda sorta knew and it checked out to be true.
As some of you know, I have family that lives in Washington D.C. and Maryland; I am especially looking forward to playing bridge with my Cuz, M.
I suspected that it would be cheaper for me simply to travel back and forth to D.C. (about a 40 minute ride on Amtrak) as opposed to getting a hotel room in Baltimore. And that turns out to be true.
That would be considerably cheaper for me to do.
Unlike a couple of the train lines on the Chicago el system, the DC Metro closes at about 1 AM. So I have to be sure to get back in DC in enough time to get home on the Metro; there is a Metro stop a few blocks from my cousin’s house.
I know that a number of people that will be at the conference also live in DC. Maybe I could even hitch a ride in exchange for some gas money, who knows?
I hope to see as many of you there as can make it. I enjoyed having nearly all of the Top Comments crew being there last year (here in Chicago!).
Comments below the fold!

Brillig's ObDisclaimer: The decision to publish each nomination lies with the evening's Diarist and/or Comment Formatter. My evenings at the helm, I try reeeeallllyy hard to publish everything without regard to content. I really do, even when I disagree personally with any given nomination. "TopCommentness" lies in the eyes of the nominator and of you, the reader - I leave the decision to you. I do not publish self-nominations (ie your own comments) and if I ruled the world, we'd all build community, supporting and uplifting instead of tearing our fellow Kossacks down.
