It is crystal clear to me that the Republicans are going to try everything legal and illegal to steal this upcoming election. It is also clear to me that they are trying to do so right now with the “Replace Joe with a better candidate” drive. I think it's a con,and I'll tell you why.
In the first place, it's none of our business. It is not up to us to replace him. It's not even our business to convince him to quit. If he wanted to step down, that would be his choice – but we do not have the right or the duty to make that choice for him. The fact that we are suddenly being convinced it is our business should raise all sorts of red flags. Since when do we normally think of replacing a candidate the minute he has one bad debate? Especially someone who has been one of the best presidents America has ever had? Is this really something we would think of on our own – or are we being deliberately pushed toward it?
Second, the whole idea of “do this one thing and you will reap rich rewards” is a classic con – after all, think how much better our chances would be if we had a “better” candidate! All we have to do is... get rid of Joe. Which is what the Republicans really want. And face it: there really is is no “better candidate.” Why? Because we could have the actual in-the-flesh Jesus Christ as a replacement candidate and it wouldn't matter. Whoever we choose, the Republicans will tear them down, too. Or get us to do it instead, and wrap themselves in the cloak of plausible deniability.
Third, look at the timing of this, look at the intensity of it, look at the deliberate misdirection from the actual danger of letting these thugs get back into control of the country. This “replace Joe” mantra is showing up everywhere, all at once, especially, I would guess, at liberal sites like Daily Kos. I strongly suspect we are being deliberately pushed into this idea of replacing Joe because it will benefit the Republicans, not us. They know that, in a fair fight, they can't beat Biden – polls be damned. They are using our fear of them – and a righteous fear it is, as these people are despicable — to do what they can't. So Biden is being called “arrogant” for not stepping down (like the Republicans want him to) even though he is in fact one of the most decent and self-effacing presidents I have ever seen. And so he is being called “old” even though their hoped-for king is only three years younger. And on and on.
A fourth red flag is that there are a number of folks telling us to be“reasonable” about this. Some of them really mean it – but I have found that, after 70 years of life, nearly every time someone asks you to “be reasonable” about something, they have a hidden agenda which includes fleecing you of all your worth.
A fifth red flag, hidden in the background, is that they really, honestly, want all of us either dead, gone, or under the power of their filthy little thumbs. We can't trust these folks any more than we can trust a rabid bat – and probably even less than that.
And the final red flag: you all have seen the SCOTUS decision, wrought (as far as I can tell) out of whole cloth that, in violation of everything the United States had stood for all these years, we need a king to rule us — but absolutely not Biden! It is quite clear their whole agenda is getting rid of Biden — and, if they can con us into doing it for them, so much the better.
So stop all this nonsense. Start letting the world know about Project 2025. Start warning of the clear and present danger of the Republican cabal and all their wonderful plans for us. Forget the polls and GOTV. Focus, people!
